With the economy in this very low situation it is so hard for people to donate money to ALOT of charities that are in dire need. I am so proud of our city and the fact that so many people volunteered to work on this wonderful project. But, I am so sad that my effort to be one of those volunteers was turned away.
It is too bad there was not some way to use all the people who wanted to help. It did not make me feel better to be told that I could volunteer for one of the other volunteer agencies in our area as I already do this. While I am jealous of the wonderful people who got to volunteer, I am also glad for them.

I voluteered and was not choosen, but what youare doing is a blessing to those families that recieve this special gift. My Aunt used to be a FUSD Bus Driver and remembers the reciepiant from her route. Says that she has always been a strong person with the will to survive. She is well deserving of this special gift, and im sure her childern have alot of the same strengths as their mother.

Praise God! My husband & I welcome the Extreme Home Makeover Team to Fresno! I told him that if you were ever in our area for a project, that I would volunteer! I will be there. I hope & pray that this huge project REMINDS our community that EACH of us has the ability to help even 1 person daily in one way or another. We do not have to wait for a PUBLICLY announced & acknowledged opportunity to do so. It is the little things done daily that will help others. 1 PERSON DOES MAKE A DIFFERENCE!!!

Wow! I am so happy that you are here to help out this deserving family. My two neighbors and I missed out on the opportunity of being your volunteers, but we totally support your cause. Ty, all three Producer Dairy workers wives want to let you and your team know, "We love you!" I work for one of the schools here, but if you need more volunteers let me know and I will run out there. WOW!! I am so excited, my daughter and I are here in Fresno on holiday from the UK, and are huge fans of the show, we recently watched 14 hours of episodes back to back. When we saw on the local news that Extreme Makeover would be here this week it is a dream come true, we admire everything they do and to have the oportunity to visit an actual build will make our first visit to the States even more memorable. Keep up the good work you are all special.

We are THRILLED the EMHE have come to FRESNO, CA! WELCOME, Ty and the entire design team! We love this show and admire the very creative talents you all have! The best part is the caring way you touch each family you help and in doing so . . . touch us all.

We both volunteered but found out about this exciting event too late and by then DeYoung Properites had more than enough volunteers. What a great response from the Central Valley! At least we can donate to the food bank and toward the Riojas family mortgage.

We have viewed the building progress each day and it is amazing! We purchased a new home here in Fresno 4 years ago and watched the build over several months so seeing a house grow this fast is stunning!

I am excited to have worked with the De Young crew and all the volenteers. it was amazing to be there. it was a fast pace movement being there. Everyone was eager to be working and helping out the Riojas family. From our family to yours....thanks for the experiance in helping another family in need.

I have just returned home to Exeter, CA after working my shift from 8pm to 12:30am. After seeing firsthand what has been accomplished in just a few days, I am so amazed by the community we have in the Central Valley, and by the wonderful efforts of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition to choose families like the Riojas family, who truly deserve a gift such as this so that their family might live in a home that is safe for all members of the family. Thank you Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and thank you DeYoung Properties for allowing me to be a part of this amazing opportunity to help a Valley family in need.

Volunteering at the worksite on Monday night was exhilarating. All of the volunteers were amazing, and it was such a blessing to see the donor list in the check-in tent! Thank YOU Extreme-DeYoung for allowing me to share in this joyous build.

It is so wonderful that the home extreme team chose this family and this city. I love this show and I appreciate what they are doing and thank you so much De Young Properties you are doing an excellent job.

What a wonderful gift to this family. The De Young familiy are very nice people. The staff from Extreme makeover that I have had interactions with have been willing to answer any questions. I am trully happy for this family.

I live one street over from the building site. I cannot wait until thursday arrives. I have not gotten one full night of sleep since last Wednesday. A lot of traffic and noise. Lost a few sprinklers. People blocking our drive ways. Flood lights. Flashing police lights at 3 in the morning. Cars honking after midnight. And the most frustrating part...has not being able to just walk over and watch the build.

As I have watched this remarkable home being built I am reminded of the good in people.

So ignore the crazed, sleepless woman, cussing at the top of her lungs, at another sprinkler being stomped on.

I feel blessed to be part of a community that has so freely given to one of our own.

How incredible all of you are that put your time and hard work into doing something so wonderful for someone you have never met before.
